LXD チームが LXD 5.0.1 のリリースをお知らせします!

このリリースは LXD 5.0 の最初のバグ修正リリースです。このリリースは 2027 年 6 月までサポートされます。

アップグレードの注意 ¶

vsock API の変更（LXD VM）¶

両方向の vsock インターフェース（下記参照）の作業の一環で、LXD VM 内部のホストからゲストへの通信での TLS の扱いがかなり壊れていることに気づきました。

サーバーとクライアントの認証はすべて正しく行われていたので、セキュリティの観点では懸念することはありません。特に理由もなく TLS over TLS を行っていたので、意味もなくオーバーヘッドが 2 倍になり、実際に REST/HTTP レイヤーがクライアントについての詳細にアクセスすることを妨げていました。

このリリースでは LXD と VM エージェントの両方をアップデートし、TLS の単一のレイヤーでのみ処理されるようにして、この問題を修正しました。残念ながら、これは後方互換性のある方法で処理できるものではありません…

この結果、LXD 5.0.1 へのアップグレードを行うと、すべての実行中の仮想マシンとのエージェントの通信が切断されます。これは lxc exec と lxc file に影響します。lxc restart で影響を受けた VM を再起動することで、更新されたバージョンのエージェントで VM を再起動され、この問題が修正されます。

回避方法: ゲスト内部で更新されたバージョンに手動で置き換えることができます。積極的に行う（LXDが更新されるまで通信が途絶えます）か、SSH もしくはテキストコンソールで事後に行うかのどちらかです。systemd を使ったシステムであると想定した場合の手順は次の通りです:

systemctl stop lxd-agent
/run/lxd_agent/lxd-agent を新しいバージョンのバイナリに置き換えます
mount -o bind /bin/true /lib/systemd/lxd-agent-setup
systemctl start lxd-agent
